Shivani Thakrar

I graduated in 2011 from Manchester Dental School and moved back to London to complete my dental foundation at Broxbourne Dental Care. I have been working as a full time associate at the practice since I completed my training.

Post graduation, I always aim to build on my qualifications and have my MJDF and PgCert in Restorative Dental Practice from the Eastman. Particularly I enjoy combining short term orthodontic treatment (Invisalign and Quick Straight Teeth) with cosmetic restorative dentistry and thrive on achieving aesthetic results for my patients.

Another passion which ties nicely into designing smiles for my patients is Facial Aesthetics – this includes carrying out a lot of anti-wrinkle treatments and dermal fillers, along with skincare. I have a keen interest in academia and teaching and this was emphasized when I was appointed education supervisor for newly qualified dentists in 2019. I regularly attend courses to keep my practice current and evidenced based and absolutely love discussing and teaching my learnings onto others, including my patients!
